People In Jammu And Kashmir Need A Licence To Create A Whatsapp Group. WTF Is Happening!

This is probably the most WTF news you’re going to read today.

The Office of the District Magistrate in Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir has issued a notice that every group admin on Whatsapp should register themselves and get a license.

According to the notice issued by district magistrate of Kupwara, this is meant to curb the ridiculous rumours and gossip about the state. Under this banner, they’ve given every existing group admin 10 days to register themselves.

Not only that, admins are also going to be held responsible for all the content on these Whatsapp groups.

Have a Whatsapp group? Call me, maybe? No, arrest him.

This clearly is a knee-jerk reaction from those who don’t understand how Whatsapp (or the Internet, in general) works.
